Racing to get the film ready to screen at film festivals at the National Bike Summit in early 2019, we found ourselves in need of more funds! Luckily From the Heart Productions took us on as a fiscally sponsored project, allowing us to offer donors a tax-deduction. I launched a crowdfunding campaign HERE and soon received a challenge from an anonymous donor: he/she would contribute $1000 IF we could raise that much more before 2018 ended.
In order to motivate potential backers I promised to publish one MOTHERLOAD “EXTRA” (an awesome but deleted scene from the film) on each of the final days of 2019. You can watch all three HERE.
It was exhausting but very satisfying to see how well these scenes played as individual pieces, and, it worked! We exceeded the matching challenge and finished out 2019 having raised $8,050!
I will spend the next month in color correction, sound mix and licensing, all the while hoping for good news from festivals.
